Passport & Visa Info

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Passports

Required, but NOT by the following:
1) Holders of a Certificate of Identity issued by the Government of Malaysia
2) Returning pilgrims holding a Pilgrim Pass issued by the Government of Malaysia

Passport Validity: Passports must be valid 6 months upon entry

Visas

The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) Nationals of Malaysia
2) Nationals of Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Cyprus, Dominica, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liechtenstein, Malawi, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Namibia, Nauru, Netherlands, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Samoa, San Marino, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Swaziland, Switzerland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, United States, Vanuatu & Zambia
3) For stays up to 3 months by nationals of Albania, Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Rep, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea (South), Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Norway, Oman, Peru, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmeninstan, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay & Yemen
4) For stays up to 1 month by nationals of:
a) Hong Kong (S.A.R. passport holders), Indonesia, Korea (North), Laos, Macao (S.A.R. passport holders), Philippines, Thailand & Vietnam
b) Holders of British National Overseas (BNO) passports
c) Nationals of other countries not already listed (except nationals of the following countries who require a visa Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Rep, China, Congo, Congo Dem Rep, Cote d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, India, Israel, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Serbia & Montenegro, Sri Lanka & Taiwan)
5) For stays up to 15 days by nationals of Iran
6) For stays up to 14 days by:
a) Nationals of Libya & Syria
b) Holders of Macao Travel Permit
c) Holders of Portuguese Alien Pasport
