Passport & Visa Info

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Passports

Required, but NOT by the following:
1) Holders of National Identity Cards issued to nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland Rep, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands (`Toeristenkaart'), Portugal, San Marino, Spain & Switzerland
2) Holders of passports expired a maximum of 5 years issued to nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Germany (expired one year only), Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino & Switzerland
3) Holders of a Luxembourg Identity Card issued to alien residents of Luxembourg
4) Holders of a resident permit, mentioning the Luxembourg or Belgian nationality, issued to alien residents of the Netherlands
5) Holders of a Belgian Identity Card, mentioning the Luxembourg or Dutch nationality, for aliens or issued by the Belgian authorities

Passport Validity: Passports must be valid for 6 months

Visas

The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) Nationals of Luxembourg
2) British citizens & subjects
3) Nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Rep, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany (also applicable if holding former East German documents), Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City & Venezuela
4) Holders of a valid resident permit issued by one of the Schengen countries; Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain or Sweden

Air Transit

Required by all except those as noted above and:
1) Persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same or connecting aircraft, provided arriving & departing from/to a non-Schengen country, holding confirmed onward tickets departing within 72 hours & documentation for next destination (except nationals of Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Congo Dem Rep, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria & Turkey, unless a permanent resident of Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland Rep, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States)

Notes: Transit without a visa is not available if any of the subsequent destinations or transit locations are a Schengen country requiring a visa. Therefore, as the passenger is entering the Schengen territory, which is a borderless territory, those nationals of countries requiring a visa for any Schengen state, which they are entering, require a visa at all times
