Passport & Visa Info

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Passports

Required, but NOT by the following:
1) Holders of an official travel document issued by the Government of El Salvador, Honduras & Nicaragua
2) Holders of an expired passport issued to nationals of Guatemala
3) For a tourist visit by nationals of United States & Canada provided holding proof of citizenship

Passport Validity: Passports should be valid for 6 months

Visas

The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) Nationals of Guatemala
2) Holders of British passports with nationality `British Citizen'
3) For stays up to 3 months by nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland & Uruguay
4) For stays up to 1 month by holders of passports issued to nationals of Mexico
5) For stays up to 1 month by nationals of Australia, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, France, Greece, Honduras, Ireland Rep, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Taiwan, United States, Vatican City & Venezuela
6) Holders of re-entry permits

Air Transit

Required by all except those as noted above and:
1) Persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours provided holding confirmed onward reservations & tickets, except:
a) Nationals of Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Benin, Bhutan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Botswana, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Central African Rep, China, Congo, Congo Dem Rep, Croatia, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominican Rep, Ecuador, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guam, Guyana, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea (North), Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Moldova, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Peru, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Serbia & Montenegro, Singapore, Slovenia, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Suriname, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia & Zimbabwe
