Passport & Visa Info

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Passports

Required, but NOT by the following:
1) Holders of National Identity Cards expired a maximum of 5 years issued to nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden & Switzerland
2) For tourist visits up to 90 days by nationals of Canada, Japan & United States provided holding proof of identity

Visas

The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) For stays up to 3 months by:
a) British subjects being `Citizen of the United Kingdom & Colonies'
b) Nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland Rep, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States & Vatican City
3) Alien residents with a valid `carte de residence' and a valid passport (see `exit visa')

Air Transit

Required by all except those as noted above and:
1) Persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same aircraft without leaving the airport
2) Persons continuing their journey to a third country by the first connecting aircraft without leaving the airport (except nationals of Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Bangladesh, Congo Dem Rep, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Somalia & Sri Lanka)

Exit Permits

Required by some nationals living in France as alien residents. Persons should enquire at the `prefecture' of the residence prior to departure
