Passport & Visa Info

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Passports

Required, but NOT by the following:
1) Citizens of Denmark
2) Citizens of Finland, Iceland, Norway & Sweden, provided entering directly from a nordic country
3) Holders of an official national identity card from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain & Switzerland

Visas

The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) Nationals of Denmark
2) Citizens of United Kingdom
3) Citizens of Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bermuda (holders of `British Dependent Territories Citizen' passports only), Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Rep, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (S.A.R. passports), Hungary, Ireland Rep, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macao (S.A.R. passports), Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City & Venezuela

Notes: A Danish visa is not valid for Greenland or Faroe Isles unless specified in the permit

Air Transit

Required by all except those as noted above and:
1) Persons continuing their journey to a third country on the same day without leaving the airport, provided arriving & departing from/to a non-Schengen country, holding confirmed onward tickets & documentation, except nationals of:
a) Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Congo Dem Rep, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia & Sri Lanka unless they are residents in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom or United States with permission to return at least 3 months after transiting Denmark
b) India, unless holding a valid visa for Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland Rep, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States

Notes: Transit without a visa is not available if any of the subsequent destinations or transit locations are a Schengen country requiring a visa. Therefore, as the passenger is entering the Schengen territory, which is a borderless territory, those nationals of countries requiring a visa for any Schengen state, which they are entering, require a visa at all times
