Passport & Visa Info

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Restrictions: Entry is refused to persons of unkempt appearance & gypsies of any country

Passports

Required by all

Passport Validity: Passport must be valid for at least 6 months

Visas

The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) Nationals of Costa Rica
2) For stays up to 90 days by:
a) Holders of British passports with `United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland' or `Jersey' or `Guernsey and its Dependencies' or `Isle of Man' on the cover
b) Citizens of American Samoa, Anguilla, Argentina, Aruba, Austria, Belgium, Bermuda, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Czech Rep, Denmark, Falkland Islands, Finland, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guam, Hong Kong (British National (Overseas) & S.A.R passport holders), Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Martinique, Mayotte, Montserrat, Netherlands Antilles, Netherlands, New Caledonia, Northern Mariana Islands, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Reunion, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, United States & Uruguay
3) For stays up to 30 days by citizens of Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Chile, Cook Islands, Dominica, El Salvador, Estonia, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Jamaica, Kenya, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Niue, Norfolk Island, Philippines, Russia, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Suriname, Taiwan, Turkey, Vatican City & Venezuela

Air Transit

Required by all except those as noted above and:
1) Persons continuing their journey to a third country within 48 hours without leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed tickets & documentation & being:
a) nationals of Andorra, Belarus, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Rep, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, Greece, India, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, Nicaragua, Peru, Slovenia, Thailand, Ukraine & Zimbabwe
b) alien residents of United States
c) alien residents of a country whose nationals are visa exempt
d) nationals of Cuba residing in one of the countries listed in "Visas 2, a & b"

Exit Permits

Required by all whose stay exceeds 30 days except those with authorised stay of 90 days
