Passport & Visa Info

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Passports

Required, but NOT by the following:
1) Holders of National Identity Cards issued to nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden & Switzerland
2) Holders of passports expired a maximum of 5 years issued to nationals of Austria, Belgium, France, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain & Switzerland
3) Holders of passports expired a maximum of 1 year issued to nationals of Germany

Passport Validity: 1) Where a visa is not required passports must be valid for the duration of intended stay
2) Where a visa is required passports must be valid for at least 3 months longer that the validity of visa issued

Visas

The following REQUIRE a visa:

2) Holders of the following British passports: British Subject (without the right of abode in the UK), British Dependent Territories, British Overseas Citizens, British Protected Persons & British Nationals (Overseas) Hong Kong & Bermuda

Air Transit

Required by all except:
1) Persons continuing their journey to a third country on the same day without leaving the airport transit area & arriving & departing from/to a non-Schengen country, provided holding confirmed tickets & documentation (except holders of passports issued by Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Congo Dem Rep, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia & Sri Lanka)

Notes: Transit without a visa is not available if any of the subsequent destinations or transit locations are a Schengen country requiring a visa. Therefore, as the passenger is entering the Schengen territory, which is a borderless territory, those nationals of countries requiring a visa for any Schengen state, which they are entering, require a visa at all times
