Passport & Visa Info

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Passports

Required, but NOT by the following:
1) Nationals of Brazil, Chile, Paraguay & Uruguay holding an Identity Card & travelling between these countries
2) Nationals of Bolivia holding an Identity Card up to one year old provided travelling from their own country

Passport Validity: Passports must be valid for 3 months after intended length of stay

Visas

The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) Nationals of Argentina
2) For tourist visits by:
a) British nationals holding valid British passports
b) Nationals of Andorra, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Rep, Denmark, Dominican Rep, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Israel, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, St. Lucia, San Marino, Serbia & Montenegro, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City & Venezuela
3) For stays up to 30 days by nationals of Grenada, Hong Kong (British National Overseas Passport holders), Jamaica & Malaysia

Air Transit

Required by all except those as noted above and:
1) Persons continuing their journey to a thrid country by the same or first connecting aircraft within 48 hours, provided holding confirmed reservations for onward/return travel & documentation (except refugees & stateless persons)

Re-entry Permits

Required by all alien residents except those whose stay outside Argentina has been for 2 years or less and provided holding a `Cedula de Identidad' (Identity Certificate). The re-entry permit must be stamped in the passport by an Argentine Consulate abroad and is valid for entry only
