WeatherClimate: Argentina is a large country with varied climatic regions. In the tropical north, temperatures & humidity are high during the summer months (Nov-Mar) with rain throughout the year. Buenos Aires, other central regions & the Pampas to the east have warm but rather wet summers & mild winters. The climate is sunnier & drier further west & to the south. This area includes the northern Andes which are very barren as little rain or snow falls even on higher slopes, if it does rain in tends to be during the summer months which are hot & very sunny. Southern Argentina or Patagonia is a mainly dry area with cooler temperatures, especially in the far south which has brisk summers & long cold winters with a good deal of snow & frost, although temperatures are not usually intolerably low
Clothing: Light clothes for central Argentina during summer & northern & western areas, although warmer wear is needed for trips up into the Andes. Warmer wear for central areas during winter months & summer visits to the south. Thermals for winter months in the south
